Magnetic system
The magnetic system is a closed ring-shaped circuit built from high-quality ferrite and magnetic steel, with rare-earth material where needed. It is energised by coils wound from copper tube and cooled internally by water so the field stays strong during long runs. Ridged plates of magnetically conductive stainless steel form the matrix. Their edges concentrate the field into very high local gradients that capture fine and weakly magnetic particles as the powder passes through.
The feed must be dry and free to move between particles. For powders in liquid, choose a wet high intensity magnetic separator instead.

Frequently asked questions
What does a dry powder magnetic separator remove?
Weakly magnetic iron oxides, rust and other fine ferrous or paramagnetic contaminants from dry powders.
Can it be used for wet material?
No. Feed must be dry. Use a wet high intensity or wet slurry separator for liquids.
Is the magnetic intensity adjustable?
Yes, because it is electromagnetic, field intensity can be adjusted.
