How it works
The pulley carries permanent magnets inside a stainless steel shell. As the belt wraps the pulley, non-magnetic material follows its normal trajectory and falls freely. Iron is held against the belt until it reaches the underside, where it leaves the field and drops behind a diverter plate. Separation is continuous and self-cleaning, and it needs no power.
Magnetic pulleys are easy to fit into an existing conveyor and are a low-cost way to stop harmful metal before it damages crushers, mills and other machinery or contaminates product.
